For the last two weeks it was on-off fro me...
Maybe Chris want to check if we notice
Skipper: We'll fix it.
Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this?
Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Yeah my interface's been spotty for a week or so. To boot, in IE8 the spacing/noise/layout controls have completely gone south and don't function at all (since the site move yesterday 150811) ... AND I've just noticed in fireFOx that there's no left webpage panel at all (no browse code, no "tagged as", etc). Perhaps this is "Adobe Flash" disfunction in fF?
Not overjoyed about having to use two browsers simultaneously ... only have four hands (not a complaint)!

Try making the browser window wider. Which version of FireFox are you running?
IE8 issues: I'm on it. We've actually (informally) stopped supporting anything below IE9 but I have a bottle of red in front of me and a few minutes so I'll dig in.

Just a small notice from an insignificant tiny piece of carbon: There are companies out there, not so small, that are still not deploying IE9 to their clients*1. The standard deployed browser is currently IE8 in my company, go figure!
Cheers!
*1: You can upgrade to higher version of IE on your own, though you'll hear funny arguments when complaining about some malfunction of a corporate page.

I know - so I unofficially support it.

Hey what do you know!
(fF -> v.3927.0)
Thanks for the tip ...
IE8.0.7601.17514 -> works a blue streak now!
Thanks again ...
[edit]
Note feeble attempt at obfuscation ... I'll ask myself in the future and know that the question was raised in the past, and perhaps never answered (who knows?) ... shouldn't "stirkethrough" disappear from the "found text" categorization of a search engine?
... hmmm, indeed?

IE8 works? It shouldn't! I've just found and fixed a regression bug due to some code cleanup. That will actually fix the issue. Deploying soon.

I'm going to guess that this has already been brought up before, but is there any work being done on "live" notifications, a la Facebook. Having to refresh the page to see if I have any notifications of replies to my forum messages is rather tedious. It would be nice if they popped up as they happened. We don't need the toast-like notifications that Facebook uses, but just updating the number at the top would be nice.

Nice idea Colin. +1 to this.

That's been on my TODO for about 4 years now.
It's creeping closer to the top - especially with the stuff we're working on now.

That bug in the editor (which adds the article ID to the image links while editing, thus showing images correctly in preview but giving a broken image while publishing) is causing 4 out of 5 posts in moderation to be of "Format/Layout" problem type. Anyone working on that bug to fix it?

That was meant to have been fixed today.
Can you give me an example of an article in which you're seeing the problem?

Those are fixed. From now on there shouldn't be a problem - though Sean is reporting that he's still seeing it. Of course I can't repro it on my machine.
Where's my "it works here" badge?
I'll keep looking.

I didn't type any line-breaks, and they don't show up under "Improve solution":
How can I assign a CSS Class to HtmlTextArea elements?[^] (Solution #2)
The line breaks seem to appear after every <code> block.
There, see? It's done it again.
We also seem to be getting extra line-breaks in <pre> blocks, but not in the preview:

Line 2
