Ok sandeep it's just an encoding problem.
Sandeep Mewara wrote: Just repost your answer again. Looks like, your comment was confusing and you wanted to delete your answer.
My actual comment was
"I dont know why <string><string> is coming though I am deleting it. please ignore it."
But I have not encoded > and < in my comment so it misprinted like
"I dont know why is coming though I am deleting it. please ignore it."
And some body deleted it.
Ok I know that's not a problem with who deleted that's just Encoded misunderstanding between.

Hiren.

The editor is trying to resolve what it thinks is html tags. If you go in and escape the pointy brackets in the message, it'll be fine.
I already did this in the OP of the cited question.

Hi,
Under setting I noticed that Technical blogs was unchecked so I checked it. The result was that my reputation was reduced by 150 points. Three "Newsletter opt-in (undo)" appeared under my repitation history all at 20 Jan 2011 1:08 AM. I am sure that something is wrong here. I tried unchecking ot to see if that would reverse this odd process but it had no effect.
Thanks

Same for me too. I did not even change my newsletter settings. I changed my screen ID, saved and bam! -50 points for newsletter opt-in undo.

Just curious as to what timezone is being used for the users recent reputation points list in their profile.
It appears to be UTC/GMT +1hour? i.e. I'm in GMT/UTC (UK) and an event at 8.54pm is listed as 9.54pm
Seems an odd one to use.

Probably a DST related bug.

I posted a tip/trick a couple of hours ago, and it still hasn't shown up on the CP front page.
Tips is here: Partial DateTime Object Equality[^]

I can see it fine - and I'm only Bronze author.

Well, I'm at a loss. I just posted another one which I *do* see, but I still don't see the one I cited in the OP.

"While working on a future article, I decided I need to be able to compare two DateTime objects based on any property I chose."
Your link takes me straight there. Marcus has voted you a five, and left a comment, and it appears in your profile list.
Maybe it just doesn't like you today!

I found it by going to John's profile -> Tips & Tricks submission list to find it.
I was going to check if it was visible to me at all, which it was there, but I didn't look on the front page.
I wasn't, now I am, then I won't be anymore.

I can see the article itself too. But it's still not on the homepage.

Yeah, it shows up in the reputation stuff, and I can see it in my list of Tips, but it's *not* on the CP front page of recently submitted Tips.

It's appearing for me now at the top of the list.
Did you have it in composiing status for a while, then made it available?

Nope - went right to published without passing go or collecting $200.
I'm at home now, and it's showing up.

The tip/trick shows as published 6 hours ago, but the homepage says "2 hours ago". Though the last edit to the tip/trick was 2 hours ago. It seems that edit made it visible on the homepage for some reason.

If a comment is replied to, there's a notification sent to the parent comment's poster as well as to the associated answer's poster. If the answer and the parent comment are by the same member, he gets two notification emails. Could a check be put in place to ensure that when the two member ids are the same, only one email is sent? Thanks.
Here's an example from just now where I got 2 emails:
1) subjected: A reply was posted to your comment
2) subjected: A reply has been posted to a comment

I made the same observation. One of them related to one of your replies to me today. I really do hope filtering these out wont be to much trouble.
