I was monitoring the number of views for the articles "Running NUnit tests from FinalBuilder
By RedSunBeer" and "How to estimate a software project in man-hours? By RedSunBeer" and find that the count has decreased. In the first case it has decreased from 2,745 to 2,255 and in the second case from 30,601 to 30,380. The dates are 05/Dec/2005 to 02/Jan/2006.
How did this happen?

My article[^] had thousands (IIRC) of page views when it was an "unedited contribution". Now it has only 136 views after being edited. Is that normal? Page views are an important indicator for the success of an article. Are they really thrown away?

We had a small database issue that results in some page view data being lost. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I've viewed it again - even though it's it's just a drop in the ocean
We say "get a life" to each other, disappointed or jokingly. What we forget, though, is that this is possibly the most destructive advice you can give to a geek.

I'm having some problems searching the CodeProject site. Recently I wanted some info and the MSVC Start Page. I first did a search for <b>"start page"</b> (with the quotes). The search returned 0 results. I then removed the quotes and reran the search and found numerous articles that returned the results below. Notice that the string <b>"start page"</b> is included in all the articles. I would have expected the first search to catch these articles. Am I using the search engine improperly?
Regards,
Chris

Perhaps Chris should make you the head of suggestions, and then you could get all the mail instead

With the release of .Net 2.0, I thought perhaps it might be beneficial to provide some kind of filter to differentiate between those articles posted using .Net 1.0 and 1.1 verse those using 2.0.
I realize that most 1.0 and 1.1 stuffs should function under 2.0, but if I were specifically looking for things that targeted the 2.0 framework, that might be a handy.
Just a thought (as if you guys don't already have enough work to do).

I'm not getting error but I do check when it's gonna be available. I've contact the sale support on November 7th and they still don't know when they gonna have it. Any update on this?

We received the list of versions we could sell (includes Pro and Team Suite) but no information on when we'll be able to actually order them for everyone.
It's extremely frustrating. We're guessing 2-3 more weeks.

I'm finding that Google usually spits out several results for the same article on codeproject.com. For example, the following Google search results in four of about 4460 hits for the same article: "RTF comments field" site:codeproject.com[^]
Some of the other links are different forms of the same article, like "print" for example. But, most of the links are links with the same page for navigating the article's forum.
Might I suggest that these links have the attribute/value pair rel="nofollow" added to them so Google's Googlebot and other search engines' bots can choose not to index the same article multiple times?
I'm sure this would reduce the bandwidth that Google uses to index the site tremendously (if 4460 accesses to http://www.codeproject.com/tools/ToDoList2.asp is any indication)
