It would be nice to see in the messages list to whom that message was posted to. Seeing all the By from the same name is actually unnecessary. To whom the post was made is more important IMHO.

You can - it is all indented. Your reply goes a little to the right of the message you reply to.
Ok, it can get a bit tiresome if there is a long thread chain in the way, but most of the time it works. Think ho much screen real estate would be lost to put in the intended recipients name on each message...

I meant in the My Messages list.

I disagree. I would much rather see who the message is from, as there are certain people whose contributions are always worth reading, while others ...
I must get a clever new signature for 2011.

Huh? I was talking about the My Messages list. You can always tell based on the profile. I'm not sure what view you're talking about.

But you omitted to state that in your original post, so we thought you were talking about the forums.

Is there a way to do this, the survey page I'm getting from there appears to be results only...
3x12=36
2x12=24
1x12=12
0x12=18

Nope, the only way I've seen is to vote from the homepage. Would be nice if they offered the ability to vote from the survey itself though.

I've added a link on the results page. Upload soonish

If you're going to put a cap on *accumulating* points, the ability to loose points should ALSO be cutoff at the same time. I have at least 12 5-votes on a recent message in the lounge, NONE of which I gained points for, but when someone votes a 1, I still lose points (84 so far). How is that fair?

Don't let the tears rust your keyboard!
There is a cap on downvotes though John.
see here[^] maximum 25 votes (and weighted), your trouble is you have had so many up votes through the day that you have hit the limit of ups, but must be close to the limit for downs.

Nowhere near the limit for downvotes yet. Besides that, it's not clear whether or not the limits stated there are for the person doing the voting, or the one receiving (or loosing) the points as a result of the votes.

From experience, it is a receiving vote total, not votes from each individual.

There are two events: You downvoting a message, or someone downvoting you. The "someone downvoting you" applies to you and is limited to 25 a day.

Well, John did increase his chances of hitting the someone-downvoting-him limit by posting a republican gun joke that made fun of democrats, islamic terrorists and anti-gun people.

That'd do it!

As I read it, the event begins at 1700 zulu on 23 Feb and ends at 0100 zulu on 23 Feb.
Seems like the ending ought to be 0100 on 24 Feb.

I hunted for a way to notify Code Project of the problem. I did not find any obvious email address.
A Code Project person can notice the item here, notify folks, and delete it.
If there is a better way to notify them of a problem with their announcement, I will be happy to use it.
