Best to post this on the article itself. This forum is for site infrastructure bugs and issues.

This is an old article that had the source on the Circuit Cellar magazine FTP server.
This is no longer available.
What we have is at https://www.codeproject.com/KB/system/437968/Pozhitkov-260.zip.
I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but take a look.

E.g. here: How to program a countdown timer in VB.NET[^]
In my view, no member should be able to change another member's response. And not even if there is a change history.
[Edit]
And also it looks that I can modify comments in Q/A where no history is available
It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

The Privileges tab under Professional Profile says that various types of members with silver status are allowed to edit questions and answers in Q&A forums. Since you can always edit your own posts, I assume that this means editing other people's posts. I've never done it but have seen others do it, particularly to improve questions.

Questions are ok for me to help e.g. for formatting issues. But Answers... ? If I answer, it should be _my_ answer an no others have to modify it, I think.

Perhaps so. It could be used to put words into someone else's mouth.
Now that the question has been asked, some HamsterMaster will probably weigh in.

Another reason for me to click on edit (and note that I am saying "click on edit" not "editing") someone else's post is to check for hidden links or other staff related to moderation.

It is useful if you see an answer that would be clearer with proper formatting, or even to correct serious typos. There are four different privilege settings for Q&A which you can check on your profile page.

I would agree.
But only in case I get informed that somebody modified my answer. And so far -at least for me- this does not work usually. I did not get messages from Q/A about years.

Stuff about setting? "Settings", at least for this cpian, have never worked. Settings I lump into the same category as Search. If you use it for a purpose don't expect it to come through.
[EDIT]
I'd like to qualify the above addendum because after thinking for a minute about how sour it sounded just after I hit the post, I regret the attitude.
You know what Search at CP is really good for? Finding things YOU HAVE posted. And if I'm not mistaken, it'll bring up a list of them as long as your arm as the case might be.
So thank-you CP for the wonderful Search facility.

I guess I was not clear, and my message implied that you can change them. In fact these settings are controlled by CodeProject based on our contributions to the site, and are more properly privileges or permissions.

If I wanted to change my assessment of an article, I could previously click on its shield (the one showing the number of people who have currently moderated it). This would bring up a page were I could undo my previous assessment, allowing me to enter a new one. This functionality now appears to be broken.
EDIT: Maybe this has been simplified, because now I can change my evaluation by simply entering a new one. I don't recall that being possible before.

Undo it... not sure. But recast it works with a simple reload and select another thing.

This was a bug - only staff were supposed to have access to that page, not us mere mortals.
It was fixed recently.
You can only re-vote on the article to change your vote, you cannot alter other user votes anymore.

I thought it was for changing my own vote. I didn't realize that...what a lost opportunity!

If I click on the link in the original post, I also see it, and if I then click on "Update this article", it opens it in the article editor.
