I see your point. Not sure how this would or should work in the 'normal' CP site but what came to my mind is: If CodeProject API would have a method pulling out all personal answers (and possibly related question), then it would be easy to create a small app to list all personal answers...
A quick fix could that you would have an option to send your own answer also to yourself via email when answering a question...

No, this is not a problem. We can always preserve our own posts. The only problem it to allow OP to read answers which were posted on the deleted question page.

First of all, I see your point and I am agree, that would be nice. It would be even nicer if the answers got "visible" not only for the owner but as well for the people with enough privileges that can see the question itself. I would personally still read the answers, there is always the possibility to find something unknown or a good link or something usefull without expecting it.
On the other hand (and back to "only the OP" part), I guess that the people posting question leave the "email me if someone reply to this message" checked by default, if so, they already have the answers in the email.
When I started on CP I was asking a lot, I got all notification emails and the best answers I received got saved in a special folder in my account (many of them are still there due to its quality).

If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about?
Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you
Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.

The rendering of the emoticons by FireFox is broken : appears as "| : - )".
It is highly probable that the problem is only on my machine, as nobody else complained here, but if I could have an idea at what to look at, I'd be more than happy !
OK, solved, had to debug the code, get the cloud server address where the emoticons are saved and add a security exception for accessing it.

On your browser or company / personal firewall?

On my browser (FF24.8.0 - Win7), which runs behind the company firewall.

So the company firewall is blocking the emoticons? What about other items such as scripts and stylesheets?

It works like a charm.
As I am not an expert, I am really not sure about whether it is the company firewall or something else : Firefox asked me whether I want to add a security exception (This typical window[^]) after clicking on the "I understand the risk". This made it work again. And everything else worked without any problem (scripts and CSS).

That looks like a problem with an SSL cert. Since you seem to be the only one experiencing it, I'd guess that something in your network is intercepting HTTPS traffic.
If you can reproduce the problem, try clicking the "Technical Details" heading on the error page. That should tell you why Firefox is rejecting the certificate.

I am still struggling with this problem. Here is the error:
dj9okeyxktdvd.cloudfront.net uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is not trusted. (Error code: sec_error_untrusted_issuer)
I have no idea what and how to modify it so that I do not need to add security exceptions every day.

I've found the issue: we were actually requesting the emoticons as SSL. I've turned this off.

For some reason there's no New message button for blog entries in message queue. Currently this prevents explaining why the blog hasn't been accepted.
For example I reported this[^] plagiarized because of inadequate references for the pictures, but I can't explain it to the author...

I may be missing something but I don't see job listings anywhere on the site...millions of devs here and no one is advertising job openings? Can we add a job posting area to the forums? Or am I just blind and it already exists in some form?
Now that I'm involved in technical interviews/hiring I've scanned resume after resume rife with typos and lacking relevant experience. I'm starting to take on the job of HR myself to try to get a decent candidate to follow me as lead developer. I was hoping Code Project could help. Thanks.

As far as I can see, solutions are currently sorted in descending order of "score", based on votes.
Solutions with a score of 1 or 2 are currently shown above solutions with no votes.
This seems wrong to me. If the solution is down-voted, it's actively been marked as not useful. If it hasn't received any votes, then it's still neutral, and should be sorted between those with scores of 2 and 3.

Gotcha.
The list of related articles is shown at the bottom and only visible once you scroll to the bottom. This is by design.

Just an unfinished idea. What if it could be possible to provide a translation to an article/tip/...
I admit, this wouldn't be a simple thing but if certain requirements would be met, then it perhaps would be feasible. With requirements I mean things like:
- Ability to check that the translation is correct enough (native moderators would be needed)
- English version would be the first one, always
- Changes on the original would be informed to moderators (voluntary list of persons per article???)
- Votes go to the original article
- Comments in English and go to the original and so on...
It would be a great idea, wouldn't it? Considerable? In very distant future? No? Never?
