I have changed my email address, but my old address will still receive an email subscription

Sorry about that. We have changed how we manage subscriptions, and this use case got missed.
I'll send you and email to get the old email address and fix it up for you.

Does it really make sense when I delete something from my profile blog to keep the message "Message Removed"?
It does not solve my Problem, but it answers my question

Imagine your a spammer or troll and you post something bad. It gets removed by you (to hide evidence) or someone else (via report). Other members or admins may step in to moderate the account itself. By still having those messages available for admins and moderators they can see what's going on.
Which raises the second question: why not show the deleted only to admins/moderators? The reason is we currently store in cache only one version of all the threads in each forum. This cache has each message listed in order, so it needs to have all potentially viewable messages. We could filter out all the non-viewable messages but then we may be left with less than a page full. We could then request 2 pages of messages and show only 1 page, but what if the forum has 5 pages of deleted messages? (It's happened!).
So we could filter out messages that should be removed and then just keep requesting and requesting until we fill up a page, but we'd have to take a gamble: we assume no more than 20%, at worst, messages are bad, request the extra 20% and 99% of the time we get enough messages for a full page. In rare cases we have to keep requesting, and then we monitor to see if there is a forum with really high density of bad messages and go in and fix.
There are always optimisations that can be made. Many we simply haven't prioritised at this point.

Interesting info, explains a lot

It appears to have been a cache refresh issue. I’ve forced a refresh on your blog and things seem better now.

And if one hover over the wrong one it shows the gray line to the parent at the correct one.

I sometimes get that effect in FF75.0
But not capable to consistently repeat it. Most of the times a simple reload fixes it.

I'm on Chrome, Version 80.0.3987.163
The "strange" thing is that the missplaced shown entry is also indented one level to much.

It appears to be a temporary caching glitch that has corrected itself.
Could you verify that it is OK now?
Thanks,

Doesn't seem to have fixed itself here:

This is a strange one, and will be put on the list of weird things to investigate.
In the meantime I'm going to delete the out of place, and duplicate message.

Could it be related to the same race condition that caused the newsletter storm? I also noticed it and figured reloading the page would fix it. Nope.

I fixed the link in this post[^] by MadMyche.
But I had to fix the link manually, because when I pasted the link inside HIS post i got odd results like this:

But only in that specific post. When I'm pasting here it works: Dead chicken with old milk...[^]

That’s Markdown formatting.

That explains the format, but why does it behave different in different posts?

Do you have the "use markdown formatting" option ticked?
