The browser was always opened, I never closed it down, I never did anything, just pressed "Save draft" more than once. In a monent I tried to preview my work, I got an error message saying something was wrong and everything was lost, that's all.

Pressing the preview button opens a new Tab or Window. Did this happen or, when you pressed Preview, did the article editor window get replaced by the preview window?
(BTW, Which browser were you using?)

Yes, it opened a new window and I got the error message. Thinking it was something in the connection I closed everything because it was 4am in the morning. When I opened it again everything was lost.

Why don't you stop complaining on the lost work? It is a pity, but there is nothing else you can do right now.
The only thing you can do, and it is a quite productive one, is to calm down, try to focus and help Chris to track down the problem.
If you are lucky, then he will be able to get some of your work back.
Don't take it bad, but I think you are focusing too much on your lost and not paying enough attention to the questions you are being asked.

If he's lost work because of a problem on our site he has the right to express his disappointment and frustration. He's also said he just wants to move on.
Let's drop it. If Maximiliano wishes to keep helping me work through what may have happened that's up to him.

Pro Tip: always keep a local copy on plain text. Before saving just copy the entire formatted content and paste it in a .txt.

It means, do not trust on the site. In general in the cloud storage everywhere it's not necessary to have local copies, that's the whole purpose of using cloud storage whatever it is the service. I didn't imagine I could lose the whole article, it makes sense to lose some changes but not many many hours saving the same article.

It's not about trust...I also lost an article (worked on 3 months), thanks to my daughter...Since than I have a local, CP and Google drive copy...

I think it's a matter of trust. Most of the services of the world do not fail at this level. Now I'm warned this website is not something to trust. When I write big emails in Google I don't think I need to save a local copy, ever, because I didn't have any issue on a draft mail of GMail, ever.

Unfortunately, you saw an issue with the site that happens very, very infrequently. I can appreciate that you are angry but ultimately, what has happened, has happened. Perhaps it's time to calm down for a bit because this is only going to keep you angry and that's not going to do you any good.

Thanks, honestly. I feel frustrated because I was writing the article while I was keeping an eye on my daughter that was sick and I was checking out every 10 minutes if she was ok. I went to bed at 4.30am thinking I accomplished something due to I couldn't sleep. It happens sometimes.
