Indeed. They appeared to have disappeared and now they have appeared to appeared.

Appearances can be decieving.
(We actually have a proper fix in place that will be deployed later today)

Taken that you have deployed the new version already the problem still seems to exist. Sometimes comments are shown and sometimes not.
For example in solution 1, Sql server:return column names based on record values I sometimes see all comments, sometimes only my own comment and sometimes none of them. However at the same time I see comment on solution 2 (or at least I think I see them all)

Just noticed that the little red box on the left side of my account name (the one which indicates how many messages I have) also seems to disappear once in a while. Not sure if this is related though...

This wasn't a problem when I started rolling my big eyes, and I don't think it was the last time I used it (a month or three ago)...

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason?
Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful?

ARGH.
This is why developers re-invent the wheel. Everytime they use someone else's wheel they have a bumpy ride.

A user has posted a message to the Lounge which got wrongly caught in the moderation queue. I suspect he tried to post the message again, it showed up twice. I let both messages pass, and deleted one of them manually. But now both posts are gone.
Below is the link to one of the messages which I tried to reply noticing the member that he shouldn't repeat posting if the message doesn't show up instantly.
New Discussion[^]
Hope you can find something from the bare bits of info I'm able to provide.
Could also be that another protector has noticed the double posting and removed the other post.
Edit: Now it shows up as deleted (it's the one I deleted manually, the one I wanted to remain there is nowhere to be seen): The Lounge[^]
@cp-andy : Did you delete your other message?
|
|
|
|
|
No I haven't deleted. I think if it's caught in moderation queue then proper message should be displayed instead of 'Message removed'
I will post again.
Thanks

There's a request in for this already[^].

The funny thing about it is that it showed message removed after it was accepted, and then re-appeared in the moderation queue. And that was before you re-posted it.

Ah. Caching problem between servers?
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...
|
|
|
|
|
But why would it say "message removed"?
If it was a caching issue, it's either there or not, but "message removed" sounds like Schrödinger's message to me.
|
|
|
|

"Message removed" is a placeholder for any message which is in moderation. Once it's let through, it changes to the actual subject line.
See here: Bugs and Suggestions[^]

Ah, got it. Then it's showing up and magical reappearing in the queue again could've been a caching issue.

There is a major bug in the system. I am unable to post a message in lounge section. After submit, 'Message removed' text is shown.
Can you fix this asap please.
Cheers

Andy, please see my post above. I reported the case here[^]
I've explained there what could've happened from my POV.

Your 3rd message was caught in the spam filter as well - I've let it through and it is now available to the public.

Every now and then a new article is submitted to a contest that has finished a long time ago. Shouldn't this be prevented? Updates of course should be allowed but why allow completely new articles?
For example Azure Environment Config. using ARM and PowerShell

Good catch. The way is now shut.

Woops. We need to remove that setting.
It's on by default from now on.
