How do I create an "article template"?

As I create more articles, I notice that while the specifics of the text-descriptions are distinct, the overall layout/format is similar every time. Is there a way to create and save a general-purpose template that I can load and customize every time I create a new article? I don't like having to re-invent the wheel over and over again.

What I have tried:

I'm waiting for a recommendation regarding this.
