How do android boxes function? What I mean is how does the different software code run together? I know it some how uses linux with android running on top of it. How is that done? I dont understand the concept of programming running on top of another programming code. Please kindly help me understand the concept.

I dont have an attitude. I just want an answer to a simple question. How does the android os work or get installed over linux? How does linux get put on the hardware?

You need to understand the basic fundamentals of OS development. Try sites such as this and this to start with.
