hello .

i have a question about Google Search Engine

when i search in google using some text including in my website like (abc) , my website appeared perfectly and the page displayed is home.html .

I changed All my websites Page , created a new website using asp.net,Replaced it with the oldest one , and the website 's homepage URL now become home.aspx ,
but both the server and the domain are still the same .

Now , When i search again using some text including in my website like (abc),.the old website is appeared and if i click the link ,it goes to home.html again(cannot display page),thats because page don't exits .

i want that when i search in google , the current update site will be displayed(.aspx) ,and i dont want anything from the oldest one appeared (html).

How can i Do this ,...
Thanx ,..
Sorry 4 my Bad English :D :D

The nearest I can make out from your description is that it takes google's cache takes some time to clear itself. Give it a couple of days and see if it still does it.

BTW, I just googled my domain, and there's stuff on there from 10 years ago that is no longer valid, and most of it is the result of a link on some other site.

A 301 redirect informs the search engine that the page has moved to a new location. In theory, the search engines will use this information to correct their results. Not sure exactly how Google handles this.

FYI, I modified my answer if you really want to remove the page from Google's search results.

Good answer - my 5.
You will need to update your back links if you have a track of them.
I would recommend to submit a new sitemap to Google where it will then crawl to and update the old pages.
You can also wait for some time to let google automatically update the links. But you would still be carefull in updating your back links otherwise, it will still be available
