What SQL Server Edition can I use for customer production free.
SQL Enterprise 13500 $
SQL Express dos NOT have Transparancy.
I need transparent data encryption .
Please answer me and tell me what is sql edition most developer is used for production.

What I have tried:

Developer edition 2016.
But non prodution.I dont understand
What happen even I used it for production.

Solution 1

The only free edition of SQL Server is the Express edition, which is intended for developers, and this has some limitations.
If you need facilities that are not available in SQL Server Express, you will have to buy a full version.

But you already know this, or you wouldn;t have asked this question last month: How long can I use SQL enterprise edition after expiery date.[^]
