Encrypt existing SQL server data

Hi,
here is the situation:
I have sql server DB with large amount of data.
and I want to encrypt some existing numeric data in some tables.
the problem is these data are used in a lot of stored procedures that used for windows forms application and crystal reports.

What I have tried:

what is the best scenario to encrypt these data in tables and decrypt them before executing queries with the lowest effort?

Why would you encrypt this data?

because its important data that not allowed for DB administrators to see, they are money balances.
