Hi all,
I am a member of forum of a programming language. I got plenty of notifications on that forum. But to know that, i need to see my browser. Most time, when i am working, i just minimized this browser window. So if i want to see the notifications, then i need to maximize the browser. So i want to make a script that gives me beep sound, when new notifications appear in that forum. I have fair knowledge in VB.Net and AutoIt ( a scripting language) and basics of python. But i don't have experience in web programming. Can you point me some directions ?. Thanks in advance.

You could have found many answers to this popular question. Please see, for example:
browser - How do I make Javascript beep? - Stack Overflow[^],
admsev/jquery-play-sound · GitHub[^].

I'm afraid if you have enough notifications and will handle them this way, it will soon annoy you a lot, so you will need some alternative idea. :-)
