How Do I Generate Bar Chart Form A Datagridview In Vb .Net

I have a DGV column where it has date,month and year in DD/MM/YYYY format, I want to split the date ,month and year and give it as a input to the chart.

1.The year should be in x-axis
2.month should be in y-axis and the plot should be date count.

Anybody can help me ??

You could try a client side way of doing it.

Have not used it myself, but seems like a viable solution.

I have added the chart control and i have added this code but i din get what i want.
Chart1.Series.Clear()
Chart1.Series.Add("year")
Chart1.Series.Add("month")
Chart1.Series("year").Points.Clear()
Chart1.Series("month").Points.Clear()

Chart1.Series("year").Points.AddXY(Convert.ToDateTime(DataGridView1.Rows(0).Cells(3).Value).Year, Convert.ToDateTime(DataGridView1.Rows(0).Cells(3).Value).Month)

because here i quote it to a single cell... ie., Row(0).Cells(3)... I dont kno how to input the whole column. I think this is the reason but am not sure.
