Yes.
I do it all the time.
You only get a problem if the 32 bit application tries to access assemblies (or DB engines) which are only installed for 64 bit apps.

For some applications, it's a lot more memory efficient to use a 32 bit framework as the pointer/reference size is 4 bytes instead of 8.
