There are different files that contains (in csv format) names given to babies, both male and female and their rankings of a particular country for every year from 1944 to 2013.
the data is in different files for males and females.then we we have to search the popularity of a name by year.

not even tried,i am new to it so don't even have a idea.actually i have got a mini project.

Then just load them into a table and write the queries and stored procedures. I would suggest you are going to need a column on the table for each column in the CSV and either another column that indicates which gender(s) can apply or 3 columns for Male/Female/Both - you'll need to set that when (or after) you load each CSV file into the table.

As discussed in the comments, from your description, I think a single table to store the data is the best approach.
