if you follow the step she done then you sure develop a chat application. It should be work on internet. you need to host your application on web server. I hope you got the answer.

yes you can also use it on your local server. if you want to make it live please purchase domain and hosting for run application live. It not costly.

You first develop this chat application with help of the link given by me. Then you need to hosted in the real hosting server thats it. I think you know how to hosted on server with database by ftp.
