In formats like Word or RTF, the paragraphs are separated by a Microsoft-specific line separator, which is CR LF (0xD followed by 0xA). In general case, a line separator is platform-specific:

That is, if you want a paragraph, write a single line; the formats will wrap this single line according to the width defined for the paragraph format or the width or the page. A line separator acts as a separator between paragraphs. Unicode separators (please see the article referenced above) also work, but, in practice, by some reasons, rarely used.
Need some really serious advice? Never use VB6. I understand that sometimes you have to do it for work, but use every chance to get rid of such work. It can turn into wasting your like for nothing.
