If you want just no UI, use the application type "Windows Application" (not "Console Application"). This classification is really confusing, so I'll explain: "Windows Application" does not mean you have to have any forms or windows. No, it simply means the no console is shown. In practice, better start from "Console Application", to avoid generating useless code and referenced by your project template, and then switch to "Windows Application" (project "Properties", first tab).

And don't output anything.
