Hi,

I am faizel and my client has given me username password and hostid.can anyone tell me how to point domain name to server space using only this details

Solution 1

It's quite simple. In order for people to find your website, you will need to configure DNS and set name servers in your hosting account.

1.) Log into hosting account.
2.) Get the nameservers information from there.
3.) Just log into your client domain account (from where you purchased domain name).
4.) update the nameserver here.

It may take a maximum of 48- hours for proper synchronization (Usually it takes about an hour).

my client did'nt give me about information about hosting account or domain account. i got just username password and host id

Then you need to ask your client about the login details for domain portal registration. Once you have login, you can simply point your domain to your hosting provider name server.
