My application consists no of external js files, each file consists of number of javascript methods.

my question is : if i call any method in any external js file in my current running page, how to identity in which external file, which js method is calling from browser.

I'm not sure you can do it on JavaScript itself, but I found Firebug useful in debugging Javascript codes.

i want to know it from client side (browser).

First of all, install Firebug[^] on your Firefox browser. When that is installed, there is a script tab where you can find all your Javascript codes. There's a Step Into and Step Over function and you can even set breakpoints on your scripts. It's a useful tool.
