[REPOST] how get the directory path of applications in task manager in c++?

hi every body?can anybody tell me how can I get the full path of everything(include executable file and directories) in process tab of task manager()?i appreciate any help.tnx

I don't know the answer because I'm using the Process explorer of sysinternals, its "Options/Replace Task Manager" menu registers process explorer as the task manager. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx. Give it a try, in my opinion its much better than the builtin process manager. Press Ctrl+T to switch to process tree view that is awesome in my opinion. Hower the cursor over a process to see extra info (for example the full path to the executable...).

Do what, and why?

Task Manager can show all executable file names of all processes. Do you mean those? How is this related to directories? The files are shown with full path names. What do you want to achieve?

Use GetModuleFilenameEx() with hModule==NULL parameter. Somehow you have to get a handle to the target process before calling this function, there are many ways to do this depending on the info available.

Now, OP explains that this is related to Task Manager. The question was about "open folder" (or directory) which really means nothing to the file system. This is a fundamental misconception, and OP ignores everything. Your advice about replacing of Task Manager (or using Sysinternals Process Explorer) is good, but I don't think it can help OP, who first needs to learn how to listen and behave in acceptable way.

I asked you: when you write "when you open a folder", what do you mean by that? What do you do to "open a folder", exactly, step by step; in what application, etc.? There is no such concept as "open a folder".

So, where is your answer. If you cannot clarify or don't understand what you really want, please stop spamming this forum.
