Adding .lib in C# project using VS2012

Hi,

I have an application which uses C API in .lib and .h format. My environment is VS2010. I tried creating reference to the libs in VS2010 but unble to do so. I want to check this with VS2012. Pls suggest whether we can refer .lib in C# thru Add Referece in VS2012?
