.Net ClickOnce WPF applications doesnt work on deployment machine

I have created WPF application using Visual Studio 2008 and .net framework 3.5 on Windows XP as development machine.
Now I have published this application and added all prerequisites and i am trying to install it on Windows 8 64-bit machine.But here .net framework 3.5 is not getting installed and application doesnt start.Also no error is thrown.I dont understand how to solve this.Please any1 help me.

Is it trying to install the 32 bit version of .net 3.5 on the 64 bit machine? Are you compiling specifically for a 32 bit machine because you have an access database or something? It's hard to help without more information. What other prereqs do you have and are those installing properly?
