How to create checkboxlistfor in mvc3

Hii to all,
Iam trying to create checkboxlistfor in my view(MVC3Razor) to show list of employee roles.But in my html helper i didn't find checkboxlistfor.Please any one tell me is checkboxlistfor is not present in MVC3,if not present please tell me from which version of mvc it is present,how should i add it to my current version(i.e MVC3).Thanks in advance

I have wished for a checkboxlist in MVC also. As of the most recent version MVC4 there is still no built in HTML helper for that. There are some articles that explain how to create your own. Here is one example on Codeproject

Solution 1

You can do this with MVC 3.But there is no existing extension method for checkboxlistfor. But you could use below mentioned url for find out how to do with custom extension method.
