scan fucntionality in web page

Can some one guide me how can I put a scan functionality in my webpage? I want to put a scan button which should open the windows scan wizard so that I can use the scanner connected to my system to scan a document.

Web Applications usually do not have rights to access such resources. I am not sure if you can actually do it. But Google and see if ActiveX can help.

Whoever has approved this requirement does not know what web applications are and what resources they have access too..Its time to fire him

yes..I tried.. but its not working.. Finally, I am using WCF Services to get my work done. There I can use the WIA Library to get access to scanners.. This is my progress so far..
