On one of the computers available in the local network we have installed a server created in VB.NET. Network goes through a router to the Internet. There is the possibility to communicate directly with the server, without the information to go through the Internet? How to specify practically that I do not want to communicate through the Internet!

Could you provide details of the network architecture? What exactly do you mean by "without the information going through the internet"? If both client and server are on the same LAN, there should be no issue.

Instead of connecting to its internet IP address, connect to its LAN IP address. They're different (in case you didn't already know that).

Good and simple advice - I was missing the correct words to provide a solution :)

What do you mean by "Does not work"?? Are there any error messages? How do you know it is going through the internet?? What do you mean by "I don't want it to go through Internet"? How is your network setup between your clients and the server? There's so much information you're leaving out that is necessary to give you a reasonably accurate answer.
For me it is enough to tell me it is possible. I found a solution eventually. Many thanks to all !
