i want connect my sql server 2008 database to c# app with sockets
how i can do it?

Why would you try and develop your own method instead of using the built in methods? And if you are waiting for someone name "plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" to stop by and help you out then you might be waiting a very long time.

Do you mean going from SQL to a C# app exposing a socket to connect to?

Just FYI, wherever any application connect with database it always use some kind of socket programming for establish connection. All database server expose there services using TCP/IP port. The default port for MS SQL Server is 1433.
