I am creating a WPF Application, When I publish it...it created a desktop shortcut. But the image on the desktop shortcut was a windows default, and I want to change it to another icon file. Please tell me how to do that. Thanks

Right click on your solution. go to properties. Under Application tab u will find "icon and manifest". Click on the browse button and choose your new icon.
Note that the new icon you choose should be a .ico file.

It sounds like the application icon. Why changing it, why not putting it right in development? And what is publish time? When installation from *.MSI is being executed? Why? and who would supply an icon file at that time?
