I want to let my site users import their emailcontacts from mailclient(in the beginning only big one like: gmail, hotmail yahoo)

1 solution

It depends, which service provider contacts you want to import. For Example - Gmail, Yahoo etc.

For Yahoo -
http://developer.yahoo.com/openid/

http://developer.yahoo.com/social/contacts/

For Gmail -
https://developers.google.com/accounts/docs/OpenID

If you are willing to use third-party(some are paid) APIs then you may have a look at below links.

Gigya -

OpenContacts.NET
http://sourceforge.net/projects/opencontactsnet/

Its long time since I used Gigya, :) I think it supports windows-live mail as well. Please check on their site.
