Hi,

I just want to create speech to text functionality in my website and by some references and readings I came to the conclusion that we can not create STT (speech to text) in asp.net by including system.speech name space for web application and it works only on desktop application. Further I was just given an idea whether we can develop STT in silverlight or flash. I just gone through some of the articles and googled a no. of websites and forums but could not find anything worthwhile.

Is there anyone who has already worked with STT for web application and guide me step by step procedure for creating STT functionality or any suggested demo or readings. Your little help will be a great help for me. Thanks... please reply.

AYDIN EBRAHIMI HOMAY,

Thank you once again, but your improved answer is meant for windows vista. I am simply looking for creating web application wherein I need to have speech to text functionality using silverlight or flash on a webpage of my website where user will speak and we will convert his speech in to text on the same page as I have mentioned in my question.
