Disable buttons in gridview based on roles

hai..

how can i disable edit button in gridview based on user role..
if it is admin i have display edit button or else it should be in disabled mode.
can anyone get me out from this

On page_load you could check the role of the user and then disable the buttons or not based on your findings.

actuall i have to display a grid..
based on role while login, i have make modifications in that grid
