Different - 2 website method in visual studio

Hi Friends,

I have a little confusion about create a website in visual studio. We generally create a website by File -> New -> Website but we can also create website by File -> New -> Project and then select option ASP.Net Web Application. So I want to know the difference between these two methods. And also want to know that, is there any advantage this type of website creating by using File -> New -> Project -> ASP.Net Web Application.
