Export Gridview to Excel - security issue in document

I successfully done exporting gridview to excel, but while opening the exported file, it shows error: "The file your are trying to open, <file name=""> is in different format..........." I searched this error to google. It shows the excel security issue and the solution given is create key in registry. My question is without craeting key in registry, how to resolve this error?

i exported to excel successfully, thats not an issue, the error showing "The file your are trying to open, is in different format..........." is the issue while open the (.xls,.xlsx) file.
