Cyberlink YouCam Doesn't Work

Every time I try to launch Cyberlink YouCam I get the following error message:

C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\CyberLink\YouCam.exe
The application has failed to start because its side by side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log oruse the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail.

This is the full error message I get I try everything I can think of and nothing works. Please help.

Maybe you should be asking someone at CyberLink...?

this should be due to a some runtime framework component missing
