How to solve error as ajax reference missing

Hi..
Im using ajax control toolkit 3.5 for my .Net Framework 3.5 application.
Later i have changed the ajax reference for using some extender controls and its working fine. But often i got assembly reference missing error in ajax and when i drag & drop any ajax control,the reference gets updated and then working properly. How to solve this issue?

Maybe in web.config you have still old assembly in Pages section?

Update your vs 2008 to sp1............then again add ajax toolkit control.........few months back i faced this issue and i updated my vs and now it's working fine.

Solution 1

Just find ajax references from your solution and remove it,then add fresh ,it will work
