matching the data from UI textbox value to database value

hai to all, i have to match the textbox data to the datbase data ,if it is matched no changes if it is not matched the textbox new value has to saved in the database in place of old value. plz help me .......thanks in advance...........

Have you tried anything yourself? Can you show us your code? This is very basic stuff and internet is littered with basic tutorials that teach you how to connect to the database in ASP.NET and retrieving and updating data. Because for your problem, that's all you really need.

Start here[^]; you might find some ideas in there. If not, try Googling or, seeing as this is a really simple problem, try solving it yourself. Think about how you might compare two values and decide what to do if they a) match or b) don't match.
