your title is wrong, you are referring to openfiledialog in the title but to a doubleclick event in the question

The doubleclick event in silverlight is only introduced in silverlight 5.

If you are not using silverlight 5, then you need to time the time between single clicks and act accordingly. A little more difficult but I would opt to start using silverlight 5 anyway. The client is bound to upgrade at some point right ?
