i want to begin using oracle database server by creating databases and applications on it

what version i must to setup and how to get it and if there is any configuration

assume i use windows and ubuntu

tell me please how to start

Note: i am very good using SQL Server 2008

Wow... if I was going to be trying to learn Oracle I would be hopping over the Oracle website and seeing if there was anything there that would help me learn about their product.

about how to use it i have alot of books i want to know what to setup? there are alot of things and i can not choose what to setup oracle 10g or 11g and if to setup oracle client or only oracle and i listen to something called data configuration

Install the latest version of Oracle. It is a massive "program" even bigger than SQL so you'll need to refer to the documentation on Oracle's website.

i want to ask a question

when i install it and open it i can create tables and show its data but i can not create new database

is oracle not like sql that we can not create more than one database over one server?
