I have a website...

The images already uploaded to server are low in dimensions ex: 300*350

and the physical size of them is so big like "335kb"

so imagine a page loading like 20 similar images then i got the
"335kb times 20".. oh goddd...

Does anyone know a javascript issue to reduce the resolution of pictures before loading them...

I know it can be done through c# or server side but the images are already uploaded ...

It occurs to me that even if someone can point you to some code that does this, the full original image will still have to be loaded plus the processing time for the new code, making the load even longer.

Surely it would be better to have the images in a format that gives a smaller file size, .jpg for example, or the same format but with lower bits-per-pixel.
