Since you have not tagged your question properly all I can do is guess what this might be all about. Maybe you are having problems connecting to the SQL Server from your ASP.net application. See here for a similar issue:

Instance failure – Sql server, sqlconnection, oledbconnection, asp.net, c#.net, vb.net etc[^].

The above link implies that either the SQL Server your project is trying to connect to isn't running on the specified server or that the server name is incorrect.
