how to create a text area with showing font family and font size dynamically?

Dear all,

my requirement is to create a html text area showing font type and font size and font type in dropdown boxes like the one in yahoo mail page or gmail..i tried googling but i could not find a solutions..please help me to solve this problem

It looks like you need the functionality of fully-fledged JavaScript editor.

Perhaps one of the most popular one is TinyMCE:

thanks for the reply....you understood my requirements but i dont want any third party tool suggestion...what i want is how can i do the same thing in html programming
