Currently we've a software, which several clients are using and each client has got their own database. Goging forward we are thinking about implementing a hoted solution for our new clients.

My question is how the database should be set up in a hosted environment? should we have a single database for all clients of different databases for different clients and how would it affect the performance in both scenario?

Thanks in advance.

Different databases for different client...

It's good from:
1. Performance prospective
2. Maintenance prospective
3. Customization prospective, if needed.
