Any ideas on how can I start to build and audio editor with C#?

Audacity is open source. Use that for help.

lloyd isnt audacity written in c++, im aware that c++ and c# comes from the same family but the slighly different, would audacity code help me with it ??

Well regardless of the language it uses, im sure it will be of some help, besides, C# is based on C++. Audacity uses LAME32.DLL which is open source (search around for it) as the core of the application. So you could use LAME32.DLL in your project.

thanks soo much for ur help, may i ask u a last question, i have installed visual studio 2010 if i install visual studio 2008 will it be a future problem??

You have titled your question as a C# request and tagged it as such, but then the question is for C++.
