Why are you surprised? Some down-votes are reasonable, but some are poorly idiotic. It happens to me on a regular basis; it's the best to ignore it. I'm not sure I'm right, but it looks like a useful resource, my 5.

As SAKryukov says, not all down votes are sensible. and you may never know why someone down votes you.

Perhaps they simply want to bring your score down?

Code Project downgrades the influence of voters who stray far from the norm and contradict regularly, those users with higher reputations.

So don't worry about it much.

Thank you, Pranit, but I don't really think my answer is the best. This is just one book with I think is better than others. I can see a number of problems in this book and in other Stroustroup's texts I knew. Being a father does not guarantee rightness or perfection. I would really like to read something better if somebody pointed it out...

I agree. This book is not very suited for beginners. Better learn C++ through some examples.

I would say, this book is good to know and read anyway. But examples are important anyway, too. Learning need different approaches at the same time. It would be good to have some other book as well, yes, designed to suit the beginners better.

This book may not be perfect one, and actually speaking even I have not read this book.. but if you are C++ developer, this book should have a place in your library. And other thing I wanted to mention, if anytime I am busy I just log in to Code Project to read your answers.. Thx for your great contribution. I have learned a lots from your answers.
