Can i Publish my ASP.NET application anywhere ? Instead of WWWROOT

hi,

i have an web application hosted in windows server 2008R2 by publish it on "D:\XXX" and mapped virtual directory from the same location to my application which i created in IIS 7.0.

Its works fine on my development network. But now it shows errors like "Page Cannot Display" like that...
Is that i should publish in WWWROOT folder??
It may be the reason for this Error?? !!

What's the URL of that site?
Did you set default page? If you didn't then set it.

yes i set it,
My URL is
http:\\192.168.0.96\ERP\Login.aspx

It seems not URL problem. Because it connects sometime and works good and suddenly shows this ERROR page. Even i have ping those IP. Its works fine.

We can publish our project where ever we want.....
