I would suggest not to use this approach, rather than pick the connection string from config file. This would create issues in deployment, if the database is on annother (remote) network.

Solution 3

1. Write a PL/SQL Procedure to fetch the data
2. Use the data adapter and fill the dataset by calling the respected procedure
3. Set the data source for the datagrid as the dataset
4. Bind the datagrid
