Can we override static methods in java?

No, not really - see here: http://geekexplains.blogspot.com/2008/06/can-you-override-static-methods-in-java.html[^]

A simple google would have found that for you - it did for me "override static methods in java" and it was top of the list. Next time, try using google first...
